Fergus left King's in June 2018 and joined David Pipe's yard on the Somerset/Devon border. Fergus is the son of Holwell trainer Mark Gillard who was at Windsor to watch Fergus compete in the Amateur's Handicap Race. The following day, Fergus also found himself racing in Exeter at the Amateur's 2m1f Handicap Hurdle on his guv'nor's horse "Dream Free". Fergus did not disappoint, coming home fifth of fifteen starters and earning a share of the prize fund for his boss. Congratulations Fergus, we will enjoy watching your racing career progress.
