Michael lived near me in Weston-super-Mare. We were in Priory and prep school together and I attended his funeral in 2001. He was an eccentric, also a talented musician and artist and maintained a close life- long contact with music master Mr South. He composed, became well known and published ecclesiastical music which is similar in character to Michael - robust with soaring descants!
